You can use the mod in-game... you need to have saved at least once.
Then, start the mod, play the shoot-out and die. then, press to load the savegame. Ta-dah! You play Max Payne as Neo, plus, you have infinite bullet time!

Here's a good idea for you guys: install the "Max-FX Tools" and start creating your own mods for Max Payne, you don't have to be genious to create a mod, just read as many tutorials as you can (all of them on-line), and then use a previous mod as an example, I began to create mods using things from other mods and I've learned a lot about modding. so, go ahead...

the reson u cant use mods with the downloaded versions is because they compress the hole game bar the music and for mods to work it requiers to have the music so if u want to be able to play max payne mods then just go out and buy the game

Or you could download the .ISO files off the net which works cause its just an exact copy of Max Payne. Or you could buy it but I myself havent bought a new game in years and with the internet still working the way it does, I don't intend to any time soon. Do not download off kazaa find a warez site with bit torrent files or something.

All you people who claim that Max Payne, and Remedy created the whole bullet-time Concept, are way off...! Max Payne Development began in 1998, and the matrix, was written sometime between the end of 96', and middle og 97'.
The shooting of the matrix, was commenced while max payne was still on the sketching board! The whole bullet-time effect thingey could not be Remedy's, since bullet-time at that time was patented by warner and the Wachowski Brothers.
Remedy paid big-time to use bullet-time... And by the way... All you shitheads, that claim you have the best "Matrix" game. FUCK Y'ALL...! And go buy "Enter The Matrix"... Fuck it...

Max Payne is good but I'll need to buy it... Can't play Kung Fu mod 3.0 and ya, Enter the matrix is really bad, easy and short, i was very disappointed when it ended. Max Payne 2 must be the game of the year but my PC isnt good enough
